Jose Padilla. His work is quite ambient with elements of flamenco, bossa nova and blues.

NOT Spanish but Funk Como le guesta is a great brazilian funk album.

I can't believe no one has posted one of the currently best spanish bands..

The band is "Fito y los Fitipaldis".

Some of their popular songs are:

Por la boca vive el pez

Me equivocaria otra vez

Soldadito marinero

The lyrics are great, songs are really good, and singer's voice is awesome!

Jesus, you have said such nonensense here!

I don't understand, do you mean you can't stand the spanish language? What has the spanish language got that the rest of latin languages dont?

I mean spanish music can be rock, pop, ska, rap, hip-hop, jazz, folk, etc. etc.

you mean you don't like all that?

I don't get your point.

I was wondering if any of you liked Spanish music. I mean I've looked around at some of the other forums, and you guys mention stuff like Mars Volta, and Shakira so i thought why not start a thread on Spanish music.

So here goes nothing:
Molotov (Mexican metal band)
Rosana Arbelo (spanish version of Adina Howard)
Nek (one fo the hottest Spanish guys ever.)
Mecano (I guess they're pop/rock or something. I like them a lot)
Ella Baila Solo (They're pretty ok. I hate their name though.)
Control machete (He's from some South American country I think)
Celia Cruz (Cuban/African Jazz singer. Popular for always saying azucar, which means sugar in spanish. I know some of you may have heard somehting by her and just not have known it.)

And that's about it. I don't listen to Spanish music as often as I used to so I'm kinda falling out of the scene. . .
Do you speak Spanish? if not then Salsa dance music you might enjoy........there is so much to choose from.
