War is hell. Sometimes war is necessary. Vietnam ended up being a total cluster **** but the US got involved for a solid reason. China and Russia were really pushing the spread of communism through the North Vietnamese, which during the cold war was seen as a very dangerous thing by the US and its allies.

Communism during the 60s was viewed very differently than it is today.

I wish we could sit in a room together and take a long comprehensive test about the Vietnam War and then compare scores. Or Chinese history. Or Russian history. Then we could see who the **** should be lecturing on the Vietnam War.

Well, you're the teacher here.

Not lecturing. Just stating basic facts. Did China and Russia not back the North Vietnamese in their effort to take to reunify the south? Wasn't the US's involvement to stop the spread of communism? I said the war ended up being a cluster ****.

Hindsight being 20/20 and all.
