I think itís also a physical brain development thing thatís related to what Chomsky taught us about there being a window of time to being a native speaker of a language or just old dog new tricks.

I donít know anyone irl my age that follows and enjoys new music like I do. It does make me think they never really loved music in the first place. Not sure.

honestly think it's the case that most people do not give a ****kk about music, it's the background sound to their real lives

where as I find life to be the background static to music at times (even if that's sad)

It's kind of abnormal to be that obsessed with the developments of pattern recognition tbh.

music is also a primal whisper to the part of the human spirit that your middle class white guy has been built to cover up his entire life

that's a theory I have at least (I'm sure I'm not the first)

when it hits hard, we're all reminded we just want to dance naked around a fire and beat on bongos

Babymetal are pretty basic modern metal sewn together with a very basic and stereotypical take on J-Pop. Definitely not a band that's all that musically inventive. They're just a sandwhich of two things.

Maybe pushing people over the edge for your amusement isn't always the best course of action.

Just want to re-iterate, the Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest texts of which parts of the Jewish and Christian cannons are based upon, were found by scientists to be a fabrication. How is this not headline news?
