That argument would play in Yang's favor too though. Who wouldn't want to be the first generation of voters to actually elect an Asian-American to the highest office in the land? Especially since he's also the first to run seriously.

Also, I'm pretty sure Mayor Pete wouldn't be our first "gay" president. Didn't that Larry Sinclair fella publish a book claiming he gave oral to Obama or something a few years ago?

In 2016 it was the novelty of electing someone as 'outside' as Trump, who wasn't going to play by the rules, was going to drain the swamp and fix Washington, and was going to make America great again.

Well, he ain't got that going for him anymore. For every time he's shown to be anti-same as it ever was, he's proved to be same as it ever was. Big business is thriving, normal folks are footing the bill, and there's more flat out crooks in his admin than any other in TV history. Even Nixon.
