I agree that never everyone may agree with his positions but he still represents the state like it or not. Texas is also a red state and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

If you honestly think in such black and white terms, you're part of the problem with politics.

djchameleon 07-06-2013 03:30 AM

I understand the system and they way it works. My own political leanings aren't cut and dry/black and white.

So I guess you would also be equally nonplussed if someone claimed that your state governor's particular leanings represented the totality of you and all your statesmen's perspectives?

I'm assuming yes, which ends this entire argument.

djchameleon 07-06-2013 03:37 AM

What argument? I stated earlier that I agree with you on view that one politician doesn't always hold the same views as his constituency.

Oh cool. Then I guess you meant to type Rick Perry instead of Texas then.
My bad.

Yeah, I like to **** on Texas and people that live there. I just like giving them a hard time about it. Same with people from dirty Jers. As I said earlier, I was born there and raised for a couple of years.

What the ****? I'm pretty sure I read this somewhere at some point and was shocked and appalled.

Just out of curiosity, how long exactly did you live there? What age were you when you moved away? How much interaction have you actually had with people from Texas?

You also like giving people from Canada a hard time.

I lived down there for about the first 8 years of my life and then I would go back every summer after that. As far as interaction, ummm I guess only with friends of the family but not too much with strangers as in getting to know people that I didn't know. I haven't been down there since I've been of adult age.

Yes, it is especially fun to do that. I do it mostly because there are some people from Canada that constantly think they are above America and everything American. Also, I do it for the Americans that are always wishing to move up there for trivial reasons.

Burning Down 07-06-2013 11:04 PM

I don't know where you get that idea though. If anything, it's Americans who think they're above everyone else in this world.

What are trivial reasons to move to Canada?

djchameleon 07-06-2013 11:07 PM

I get that idea from the few Canadians that I come in contact with that always want to distance themselves with being associated with the US. I've heard YOU say it numerous times.

Most of the time when I hear someone from the US complain about something that don't agree with the first thing they mention is "I'm moving to Canada" or "fuck the healthcare here, I'm moving to Canada"

They never stop to think about the downsides of your healthcare system in the process.

Football match ends in referee being decapitated - Yahoo! New Zealand Sport

I really don't like to generalize about sports, but man soccer has some of the most fucked up fans. I suppose it's a by-product of being the most popular sport, so logically it will have the most psychopaths as fans, but still.

:D

You are actually right though, a lot of people at the game are just pissed up twats. I have seen with my own eyes at a Man. United game, United fans fighting with each other in the concourse :D

I was actually at this game too in the United end - Football Hooligans Run Riot At Man U Clash

In Italy the Ultras run riot, stabbings are common (there was one last season where they did this to a Tottenham fan) and not too long ago they threw a petrol bomb into a car and killed a policeman. I don't know the exact number but numerous people have been killed at Old Firm games between Celtic and Rangers too. Then there was this in April and this was in Wembley, a modern, corporate stadium - Millwall fans violence FA Cup semi final Wembley v Wigan | Mail Online

I think the daddies of violence are Boca Juniors and River Plate these days.

But why did the ref have a knife?

They recorded the entire thing to with pictures (and video, which has yet to surface). This reminds me of the atrocities in Sri Lanka where soldiers took video of systematic rape, torture, and execution of innocent civilians. This is all a game to some people, the fact they can casually take video and pictures of disgusting events like this as trophies.

If it does surface I'd be grateful if someone PM'd me the link.

Just saw the Bestgore video. Wow.

A lot of stories popping up about cops just straight up wilding out.

A Sunday School teacher was shot to death by a police officer in a church parking lot earlier this week in Culpeper, Virginia.

The female Sunday School teacher was sitting in her car while the officer was standing next to the driver’s side door talking with her. The officer claimed that the woman rolled up her window on his arm and dragged him down the street, but an eye witness to the tragedy says otherwise.

BREAKING NEWS: Woman Gives Birth To Baby

Mojo 07-29-2013 07:29 AM

 I absolutely love that! Sums up my feelings perfectly.

What was even worse, for me personally, was the day she was in labour and every time I walked past the TV that has Sky News on continously throughout the day to the headline BREAKING NEWS: Kate Middleton in Labour, which was tagged with 'Royal baby has yet to be born' or something to a similar effect.

Great, so every couple of hours Sky News is reminding me that her baby hasn't been born? Well, hold the ****ing presses.
