Nah, I watched a youtube video that says you're full of **** and overpopulation isn't even remotely an immediate threat to anything. The biggest impact it has is pollution because humans refuse to find salubrious methods to exist because this meaningless thing we made up called money and the power it has over us.

the planet doesn't have a scarcity problem, it has an inequality problem

Technological advancement is inevitable and the only real shot we have at improving anything. Most of what would solve the problems I see already exists, but it's early. Lab grown steaks for example. The issue is no different than what Big3 brought up before about energy: it's a matter of bringing down the cost and time to create a new steak so that we no longer need to butcher millions of cows and deal with all of that needless complexity, butchery and waste.

True. Never tried vegan meats but I've heard that some are really really good.

No comparison taste wise but some if done right can satisfy the texture youd be missing out on..

Look how well technological advancement helped Detroit.

Almost as if technology isn't going to automatically fix the inequality issue especially when people don't want to give up the kind of power inequality has given them.

You still need organic matter and energy.

I never said it was the only thing that needed to happen. But redistributing wealth doesn't solve scarcity. Society needs to be in a place where scarcity doesn't exist in order to have a foundation where wealth inequality / concentration of too much power with too few people is unlikely to come about.

Technology killed Detroit originally

No man ever spent most of his life in a factory before there were factories

Detroit has never not been a holocaust.
