I've heard from the right that the left defines nonviolent action as violent to justify responding to that action in a violent way without blame. Something to remember when those same people say that any disruptive activity is violent.

The concept of peaceful protest is just a way to defang protests to the point of inefficacy, that's why it's clarified that way in the constitution. No government understands what threatens its existence like a newfound revolutionary government.

Yeah, but you still have millions of people in this country from diverse economic and racial backgrounds who fundamentally disagree with the idea of neighborhoods of working class people being burnt down when the people doing the burning down have no grand master plan to remake society into something better than what currently exists.

Violence should be used expertly. They could learn a thing or two from the CIA.
