Clouds of mosquitoes have been so thick in southwest Louisiana since Hurricane Laura that they're killing animals, including horses and cattle. The vast number of bites leave horses and cattle anemic and bleeding under their skins.

The animals also become exhausted from constantly moving in an attempt to avoid the biting insects, a large-animal veterinarian based in Ville Platte told The Associated Press this week.

"They're vicious little suckers," said Dr. Craig Fontenot.

It's all about the algorithm they use. I don't think code can be inherently evil, but if I did, TikTok's algorithm would be especially evil.

No, I would not. Cocaine in isolation is neither good nor evil, which is probably why you're seeking some kind of exposition on my claim.

I should clarify, it's not the code or algorithm alone that is evil, it is the act of it being leveraged to manipulate other humans to their detriment, for private profits and benefits of others that would fit my definition of evil.
