Top Glove says will no longer fire whistleblowers; opens helplines for workers

Unbelievable but true, there are countries, like Malaysia, where whistleblowers have no protection at all.

Top glove is one of the biggest companies in Malaysia and is the world's largest producer of medical hand gloves, which has increased its sales (and profit) more than 5 times this year and who is responsible for the single biggest cluster of Covid cases in Malaysia due to the inhumane conditions in which it keeps its workforce (mostly migrant workers from SE Asia). Who are of course, paid nothing.

This is what the rest of the world looks like. Zero protection of workers rights, zero concern for other people's wellbeing with a hundred percent focus on profit.

People are disgusting.

P.s. Another beautiful story from Malaysia, earlier this year there was an Al Jazeera documentary about how the Malaysian authorities are using the Covid crisis as an excuse to hunt down and expell undocumented migrant workers. One Bangladeshi fool decided to speak without the protection of cover. After the documentary came out, there was a nationwide manhunt to find him. He was laid off, put in prison and summarily deported. There was no explanation about how a government can do this to someone just for speaking out (he was not illegally employed and had a valid visa).

Third world countries...:/
