Don’t worry

I got a plan:

We’ll vote!

Anteater 09-19-2018 05:05 PM

Her story has no credibility whatsoever. She can't even get basic details right, but thinks she'll somehow stand up to FBI scrutiny, lulz. She says she isn't ready to talk to the committee on Monday because she knows she'll be caught lying.

So then why is she asking to be scrutinized by them? Let's see if Kavanaugh is willing to take a polygraph test too.

Fun read.

Because she thinks they won't do it any time soon. Her own attorney doesn't think she'll stand up to serious scrutiny. She should be happy that they want to put her on a pedestal next week and let her speak...yet somehow she isn't.

I didn't know you'd spoken with her about it. All the White House has to do is direct the FBI to look into the accusation and they'd be on it tomorrow.

Haven't seen you around it a bit. See that you still like lurking around my posts so that you can jump right in with your support for all things GOP and Trump.

Funny guy.

Or because they're partisan hacks who would cut her throat if their constituency was cool with that.

1. Polygraph tests are good plot devices but don't live up to the hype in any way that can be admissible in a trial (well, ideally).
2. She didn't.

Lol bull****. I've been deposed before for a corporate case and grilled by guys who had serious money at stake. I literally got one day to prepare and I was fine through an eight hour questioning period the next day. Why does this person who has supposedly been carrying around this story for 35+ years feel like she can't get up and face basic questions?

Probably because she doesn't want her character publicly assassinated. Which major networks broadcasted your depositions over sexual assault claims?

Daaaaaamn she got ROASTED on Twitter once daaaaamn. She could easily take being part of a public spectacle.

Anteater 09-19-2018 05:56 PM

Final tally was 69,089 votes. ;)

Frownland 09-19-2018 05:59 PM

Daaaaaaaaaaaaamn

Frownland 09-19-2018 06:07 PM

Worst part is that she didn't even come out publicly, she wanted her name to be anonymous with a capital S. Great example of why you should find both "sides" physically abhorrent.

News flash: everyone has free will and the world is full of idiots who send death threats to people they don't like. When you go out into the public eye and grandstand for any reason, you become a target.

All I can say is I hope one of the D-Party's super-pac coalitions paid her some good cash, cause coming out with a story where your own attorney says "it doesn't matter if she's telling the truth or not" doesn't really seem to be worth it even as a stalling tactic.

She didn't come intothe public eye intentionally so there goes your whole talking point.

An anonymous accusation that can't be corroborated wasn't going to do anything on it's own. Come on now.

Frownland 09-19-2018 06:18 PM

So she deserves her treatment because her statement couldn't be adequately politicized. Nice.

Nobody deserves death threats. I'm just saying that people need to look at reality before they commit to a course of action. When you are in the public eye and you so much as drink a glass of water, somebody somewhere might take offense to it and go nuts. For example, James Gunn received death threats after that whole debacle of his 10+ year old tweets caused enough of an uproar to get him fired from Disney, and it wasn't right.

you automatically assume it's political and result to character assassination

it's everything that's wrong with these situations on display

Once upon a time, Kavanaugh was under serious considerations before joining the Bush administration. Multiple background checks, people interviewed, etc. There was plenty of opportunities even over the last 15 years for Mrs. Ford to come out and say something. Feinstein claims that Blasey sent a letter in July, which means the Democrats were sitting on this for months and knew her identity. Is she telling the truth? We don't know.

Nah. Just remember that Feinstein knew her identity and said nothing during two full days of hearings and a followup of something like 1,300 questions. So does that mean there are issues of credibility in the story or is there something else going on?

Frownland 09-19-2018 07:25 PM

I think the delay is politically minded and that it's naive to not consider that.

I’m gonna vote!

Chula defends Page for raping a 14-year-old girl and Ant defends a judge for trying to rape another girl. They really are the same person.

This guy is one of the few people who could be considered a key witness for testimony and he says he wasn't there at all. He's not even one of the accused: what's his motive?

Not being known as the dickhead who did nothing while a 15 year old girl was sexually assaulted.

Feel free to refute it with something that isn't a disingenuous argument that presumes guilt. The burden of proof isn't on Kavanaugh: she has to provide corroborative evidence with consistent details. So far she's done a bad job at that. If she can pull it off, then he really will be derailed from the SCOTUS nomination process and everyone can pat themselves on the back. This isn't anything like Bill Cosby's case where there was an overwhelming amount of evidence that supported his accusers.

The Batlord 09-19-2018 08:42 PM

My response to you also applies to his comment.

Since it's unlikely that the FBI will do an investigation, if she doesn't show up on Monday then he's a done deal for SCOTUS. We'll just have to see what happens.

How can you demand a refutation of a refutation? You say dumb **** that doesn't require a whole paragraph.

Maddox was a willing participant. Page even asked her mom for her permission to have Lori accompany him on tour. And Maddox remembers it fondly.

:p::p::p::p::p:

Ant, this woman has a very successful career and is widely respected in her field. She had no reason to come forward other than her conscience.

Way different than the porn-stars and Playboy models that have accused Trump. And Judge doesn't want to testify because he's afraid of perjuring himself for lying, or not reporting the incident at the time.

Do you actually own a "It's the Victim's Fault" t-shirt?
