Jeff Flake has a change of mind, sort of. He will only vote yes to Kavanaugh if the committee agrees to a one week FBI investigation into the allegations - including (hopefully) an interview and grilling of Mark Judge, who the GOP has been hiding away from any scrutiny.

I don't have much optimism. I think Kav is going to get the seat. This country is just too f*cked up to do the right thing right now.

getting Kavanaugh in with all of his baggage could be better than getting,
for example, this ultra-C(c)on woman that's in line - Barrett - who may have
less negatives in her past - simply because it would be easier to remove
Kavanaugh once he's in after the Dems take control - but, yes, they'd have to
take a pretty good portion of the Senate for there to be a Kav impeachment,
but all of the papers could come out and subpoenas, etc could begin shining
more light on him - as if we hadn't already seen enough...

3. Third witness is also taking the 'I don't want to jump into this maelstrom' ****storm by saying she also doesn't remember.

Love how Kavanaugh and the GOP kept making these 3 statements as totally exonerating him yesterday. BK fell back on this stance at least 3 dozen times during his testimony.

Isn't it pretty obvious that while Ford's statement itself was genuine, the timing of the release of the statement was politicized?
