Rock’n’roll has definitely inspired a lot of sexual promiscuity and physical violence. So has literature and film. I know very little about video games but I’m pretty sure they influence behavior as well. The important thing is that it’s still wrong to censor things even if they really do carry the gravitas to influence behavior.

It's both school and puberty being horrible and gun availability. Taking either of those factors away would solve the problem I think, because it does not exist in countries that lack one of them

The crushing of the human spirit is what we should be worried about The actual shootings are like shark attacks or lightning strikes in that it’s hysterical to even give a **** |

Did you find the whole school system that horrible? In my experience most problems with school stem from hoarding a bunch of teenagers together. The actual schooling could be mind-numbing sometimes but didn't bother me too much, I spent most of my school time making drawings. But of course you have a different perspective as a former teacher

It’s not personal / as a teacher I met so many kids who weren’t suited for it One story that I may have told before but years ago there was a bad hurricane and the power and water was out for weeks and I commented on how miserable it was and a student who was really delinquent, I mean in the ADULT criminal system said it was the best time of his life because he didn’t have to go to school and went fishing everyday and caught fish that he shared with people at a time when everyone was eating mres/ but if that kid went fishing instead of school when school was open they put him in jail it might sound like what they dont put them in jail but yes they do/ that’s the only way they can enforce the compulsory component There’s millions like him |
Some people are doubtlessly better off without school. Still I think the government should make sure that in general people are educated, but finding a balance between that and personal freedom and needs is complicated

I'm not talking about having a nuclear family or not. I'm talking about all the fucked up things that happen no matter what kind of family you have. The abuse is off the charts.

At worst it’s a symptom of a bigger disease A small symptom at that To what Mord is saying the deterioration of the family not just the splattering of the gray matter of 15 people at some high school a couple times a year |
