Louisiana mother arrested for posting video of high school fight on social media

RS 14:107.4 - Unlawful posting of criminal activity for notoriety and publicity

I smell an impending freedom of speech SCOTUS decision.

DwnWthVwls 02-21-2019 06:48 PM

Do you have a problem with that?

Frownland 02-21-2019 06:49 PM

I do in that the outcome isn't as predictable as it should be, but nah.

Zhanteimi 02-21-2019 06:50 PM

What are we expecting to happen, and why are we preemptively objecting to it?

Frownland 02-21-2019 06:51 PM

Idk, why do you object to it?

I don't. I'm just wondering what "we" are even discussing here.

Well, you see, Supreme Court decisions tend to be the final word on legislative matters, so people in the country that the SCOTUS operates in tend to think that their decisions are important.

Zhanteimi 02-21-2019 06:57 PM

I understand. But what's the issue here? You can't post stuff on your social media?

People in Louisiana can't, no, and that's an issue. I also see it as a slippery slope towards nationwide regulation of the internet akin to China's current system.

Zhanteimi 02-21-2019 07:04 PM

Oh well then someone should write a stern letter.

Totally agreed. See: Parkland massacre.

Idk, but the school handled a series of the shooter's illegal activities without police involvement to preserve their cred and funding.

There’s so much to that. A lot of it beckons back to the stay in school at all costs philosophy. Nothing worst than dropping out. Stay in school. Drop out prevent.

DwnWthVwls 02-21-2019 07:36 PM

Most people should stay in school because they aren't creative(in a way that generates enough $ to maintain human needs) or motivated enough to make it without a normie job.

Most people stay in school because most people stay in school.

DwnWthVwls 02-21-2019 07:41 PM

As they should because previously mentioned reasons.

Excellent contribution. Thank you for your insight.

DwnWthVwls 02-21-2019 08:27 PM

So whats your take? Most people should drop out and struggle until the social structure changes? College nah but do your 12 years or whatever and learn from both the setting and the classroom.

Astonishing insight!

Nobody on earth should ever be forced to do anything they don’t want to do including children

Government should be abolished
Money should be abolished
Force and coercion should be abolished
All forms of hierarchy should be abolished
Every public school in America should be reduced to rubble

Zhanteimi 02-21-2019 09:01 PM

I approve of this level of anarchy.

DwnWthVwls 02-22-2019 04:05 AM

Having to do things we dont want to do comes with existence. If we left food production up to only those that wanted to do it we'd be extinct.

Got anything more useful?

Golfclap for your support of anti-vax btw.

Pointing out contradictions and dualities are the mental gymnastics of a simpleton

DwnWthVwls 02-22-2019 04:36 AM

Okay, baconbutt.

DwnWthVwls 02-22-2019 05:15 AM

Im not aware of any hunter/gatherer tribes that stayed as such after acquiring the knowledge of agriculture and animal husbandry. Also the great respect for animals typically associated with native americans suggests, to me, that they did it to survive and not out of joy, though they may have been proud when conquering a huge beast.

Feel free to point me to some contradictory examples. Im pretty dumb with the history.

Limited capitalism really is the best system if your looking at whatever generates the most happiness, structure and access to resources that they don't have to constantly create themselves (electricity, access to real-time information from across the world, entertainment, supermarkets, etc). Highest standard of living and stability, gg no re.

Anarchy or even some small-scale form of communism could be fun and all, but people will get sick of them real quick if everyone has to go back to toiling away 20+ hours a day on the farm and don't have easy access to the conveniences of modern life.

In that sense, large-scale automation of everything in the future might end up being a blessing. Scarcity in a lot of respects would disappear and at that point you wouldn't need capitalism to provide that umbrella/ecosystem I described above.

'Tommy Robinson' banned from Facebook and Instagram

And in the brief time he had before his accounts disappeared, he posted an Insta video scrounging and begging for peoples money

I am thankful for my two further 'Tommy'-free channels, where I am not reminded of this ****ing cretinous scumbags existence.

Psy-Fi 02-27-2019 05:55 AM

^ I can't believe it, either.

Exo 02-27-2019 10:05 AM

Sooooo....

About that Cohen testimony...

Exo 02-27-2019 10:46 AM

That India/Pakistan sh*t is scary as hell. It's getting overshadowed by the Cohen testimony. Huge news day.

Round 3!

Anteater 02-27-2019 12:56 PM

I'm more interested in what Cohen did with the millions he was paid from all his "consulting" clients (like AT&T and the Saudis) who wanted to know "Trump's mind" and then got absolutely nothing in return. All without telling his boss of course.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie pop? I guess we'll never know....

You're honestly more interested in that than our president potentially committing multiple crimes?
