Cartoon porn with bart ****ing Lisa? Yea there's no victim but the fact someone finds that hot... They have issues imo.

Gonna pretend like you don't whack it to My Little Pony porn? We all remember that thread.

Depends on who you're roleplaying with.

I was questioning the utilitarian ethical kinda arguments against beastiatlity. I still find it creepy.

OK... Do you think incest role-playing is not creepy?

I mean say a girl wanted you to **** her pretending to be her dad... I might do it but even so the broad has issues imo.

Maybe she does. What of it? And aren't you creepy too now?

DwnWthVwls 12-26-2019 11:10 AM

No i wouldnt say its creepy. Not my thing but i dont think its creepy. I dont really care if two family members want to bang either as long as its consensual.

jwb 12-26-2019 11:15 AM

I'm glad to even see you say she (maybe) has issues. Cause you seem to be riding this mantra of sexual liberation at all costs as long as there's no victim, which makes it taboo to question any sexual fetish as being creepy or a maybe sign of some sort of psychological trauma.

I'm saying I think it's promoting hedonism in every direction which will have av ultimately negative impact on society.

Technology is ****ing us up in a number of ways, porn is just one of them. Social media sites are having a very negative impact on human behavior as well.

Their algorithms are primed for drawing users to the website, not for what's good for us. Why would porn be different just because sexuality is involved?

Because you can't just reboost someone's man juice by introducing a never ending newsfeed, among other things.

jwb 12-26-2019 11:19 AM

Great non answer

Frownland 12-26-2019 11:21 AM

As if you'd be satisfied with anything that doesn't align with your evangelical moral outrage.

jwb 12-26-2019 11:29 AM

Nah it's just a lame answer

I'm not saying the algorithms are identical.. just that they are not oriented towards the best interests of the user. Clicks at all costs. That's all it is.

You guys are so obsessed with the 90s Christian Boogeyman that doesn't even really have a prominent voice in this day and age that you are instinctively defending this parasitic industry cause **** the puritans.

But I'm here to tell you there's nothing Christian about finding incest creepy.

That's why you're using the exact same arguments that Christians made the first time a woman showed an ankle in a photograph lol

Id like to think no. The thought of me being involved disgusts me but if theyre two consenting adults i dont feel like its something i need to think about. Kinda like how sucking a dick is something id find disgusting if i had to do it but i dont think youre creepy.

This is why I hate arguing with you people, you're not even trying to see my point.

You insinuated that they're more or less identical by asking how they can be any different, but I don't expect you to see through your own bad faith arguments anymore, it's cool.

Cheap emotional appeal is cheap.

DwnWthVwls 12-26-2019 11:45 AM

FTR i mostly agree with you that porn and social media are really ****ing with human interaction in a negative way, i just dont like all the other **** youre adding on to that position. People escaping to watch vanilla porn seems to be just as ****ed up for sexual health as the “bad” stuff.

Not if i didnt have to see it. I dont wanna see my mom in any kind of sexual way and im still scarred from waking up at night to my parents leaving the damn door open omw to the bathroom. You keep trying to push howd youd feel about the situation on me but i really dont think id care all that much. I dont much give a **** what other people do if its not harmful to others. I have better things to worry about than whos ****ing who in a world of billions.

Im also okay with people ****ing in public like every other animal we see and get a good laugh about. Thoughts?

that's not how I meant it though i now see where the misunderstanding comes from and I apologize for suggesting bad faith on your part.

I meant that the algorithms don't have the users best interests in mind in both cases. Which is essentially at the core of the problems that they introduce.

but how does that relate to the woman showing her ankle? What was the argument that was made back then that was the same as my argument? I believe I know where you're going but I want you to spell it out for me.

Not trying to push anything, just wanted to see if you really meant it. But yea. We definitely differ there.

Anyone else cool with their siblings hooking up with their parents? Maybe I really am out of touch.

DwnWthVwls 12-26-2019 11:58 AM

This can have unintended consequences, but just because it doesn't have people's best interest in mind doesn't mean that it's inherently negative. Bread isn't healthy but it's not poison or some other analogous **** that only about 70% applies to this discussion.

That my hyperbolic example of ankle photos were evil, would destroy sexuality/society, and that they would lead to depravity. Proposing what you find creepy to be the one logical ideal of what creepiness is when other members say they don't have issue with the roleplaying has that ole time religion feel to it too.

OK fair point. It doesn't have to affect you negatively but it can. I worded it wing. I should have said there's a precedent for the idea that technology can actually impact the psychology of the user. Because at the beginning I was getting pushback to that idea based on the notion that porn only reflects human sexuality. I'm saying it impacts it and shapes it too.. and I'm not always comfortable with the direction(s) it's headed.

So maybe the argument might go something like first she's showing her ankle, then her calf, then her thigh. Then the whole shebang. That's the slippery slope argument a nutshell. But that's basically what's been happening for some time now so i don't understand why people still don't believe in the slippery slope.

DwnWthVwls 12-26-2019 12:14 PM

Because its not whats being shown that the problem? Its the escape from reality of real human sexual interaction.

You've reached the same conclusions using the same reasoning, but this is different from typical Christian moral outrage because you believe that you're correct?

Huh?

Lemme try again. The problem with porn is not what videos are available but that its being used as a replacement for sex with another person which is bad for human sexual health. Why do you insist on adding all the extra arbitrary bull**** to an otherwise reasonable argument?

objectively the people who said it would lead to depravity (by their standards) were correct. We're a depraved society by their standards. So are we arguing about whether the slope is real or whether it's taking us somewhere good?

Frownland 12-26-2019 12:37 PM

It's a weak justification for the idea that it's evil or destroying sexuality.

That is a problem, not the only problem.

But like I said the fact that it's used that way also helps shape the content provided. And the fact that it's readily provided also provides more opportunities to delve into that particular fetish. It's called a feedback loop.

didn't answer my question, but OK

Instead of telling you that your leading questions aren't useful in discussions I've decided to just ignore them.

jwb 12-26-2019 12:51 PM

Why isn't it useful? There's a distinction to be made between you arguing that the slippery slope doesn't exist vs arguing that it doesn't matter that it does exist, I'm just trying to find out which side of that question you're on.

Cause to bring up the old Christian arguments to discredit me only works insofar as we've radically changed over time and now we're better off for it(by our standards). But the radical change still happened. So the people warning that it's a slippery slope weren't wrong about that. We just disagree with them about whether the outcome is positive or negative.

DwnWthVwls 12-26-2019 12:53 PM

Because it's a false dichotomy intended to lead me to the same conclusion as you so that when I go back on it you can accuse me of being a big phony. I implore you to consider my actual point:
