I know it's not the biggest issue about this awful shooting incident, but has anyone else noticed how many people on tv are mispronouncing Las Vegas, "Los Vegas" as if it were a sister city to Los Angeles ? Surprisingly, Trump is one of a minority pronouncing "Las" correctly.

I have only ever heard it pronounced like "loss" for both, with a few exceptions for Los Angeles being pronounced like "lose".

It may not be the correct Spanish pronounciation, but it is by and large how the name is pronounced in the US.

I guess there's no cause for alarm if you see three whites vans parked next to each other, though.

Back in the early 1900s LA was pronounced Loss Anjaleez.

Lal Vegas is getting off easy.

If three black vans were terrorists then Kanye would probably be public enemy #1.

Thanks for telling me about that pronunciation.

Coming from a country that invariably pronounces Worcestershire as "Woostah", I'm not in a position to criticise.
