And yes obviously you need to do more research before making a life decision. But I'm not sure you're correct that these places aren't available.

I think you're just underestimating how rugged agrarian life can be.

I know they exist, I've looked, like I've said, but in general they don't tend to last long. And the kind of person who starts/joins one isn't just someone who "walks the walk", they're generally someone predisposed to far left ideologies who are out of step with "normal" society. I'm sure plenty of rank-in-file people would exist perfectly well in a commune, but they don't try to because they're acculturated to capitalism and mainstream society and so they just live their lives in mainstream society and aren't a part of any potential study on how "just anyone" would fare in a commune.

Well, this one's been around since 93 apparently. Seems like a decent run for an anarcho commune I reckon.

And yes but the walk the walk person is generally the same as the idealogical hard liner. Cause those are the only ones crazy enough to walk that particular walk.

Normal people don't want to join your communes cause we like our smart phones etc. And communes like this really thrive the most at a small size, 250 people or less. Start getting thousands involved and things get messy.

That's the outcome of giving up on an issue because a more global issue is influencing it, so it's what you're arguing for.
