I'm with Big3 (again) and for the record insults are only insults if they do not ring true. Otherwise they are simply a statement or expressed opinion, I think the term retard was used in it's slang form in which case it's 100% accurate.
Speaking from experience it's very fatiguing sifting through inane threads and posts especially from those posters who have a reputation for superfluous contribution.

it's the politically correct double edged sword of a public forum. you have to be open and inviting to everyone then watch as a few clowns just crap all over everything with their inanity but as long as they're within the 'rules' then you can't really do anything besides try to ignore the idiocy. which in turn lowers the overall quality of the site, attracts less people with something substantial to say and just fosters more foolishness. it's especially detrimental because coddling these kind of posters and protecting their behaviour under the guise of 'public freedom' while they act out on a 'private forum' is a turn off to most posters who have something worthwhile to post (unless i'm mistaken there's one person out there who actually pays for this site to exist on a server somewhere). then again some people like quantity over quality. i've got bookmarks for both, this site gets more posts in a day than my quality site gets in a week. |
