I remember watching a BBC documentary where the British novelist Marcel Theroux (Louis Theroux's brother) visited Japan to learn about, search for, and try to experience true wabi-sabi. It was pretty interesting. It's not really a philosophy, but an interesting concept nonetheless:

Agreed. I'm not sure whether the question has a 'right' answer, but I think the question exists to promote the conscious breathing that meditation promotes and the awareness that blossoms from the practise. That's my take on it anyway.
