Someone could tell me "happy Kwanza" and I'd thank them and wish them the same, whether it has anything to do with me or not. To wish someone a happy anything is something to be grateful for. I wish more people would grow up.

Yup. I also think it's unfortunate that, at least in the US, so many conservative people try to use "merry Christmas" as a stick to beat people with.
