Why do you mention those who majored in the Fine Arts? True, those people's political views may be irrelevant depending on their curriculum.
Another way to look at this is that blokes who earned BAs (i.e Bachelor of Arts degrees which include political science, history, etc.) in New England colleges and universities are definitely collectively smarter "in the field of politics" than the masses of uneducated blokes in the bible belt.

The statistics don't actually provide any data as to what those degrees are, so it's all assumption either way. Hell, I'm college educated and I never took a politics class in my life apart from in high school. If we're going to make the differentiation of what type of college education these states are comprised of, we can't make any assertions without the actual data. It's still irrelevant information as it has been presented.

Sure. I just wanted to narrow the ambiguity of the question by pointing out that many students who have degrees in "the arts" actually specialized in political science whereas those in Fine Arts and Sciences don't necessarily know anything about politics.
More importantly, those without any higher education have necessarily NOT been formally educated about politics at all, ever.

Ah, thanks for clarifying! I agree, too.

As a bloke from New England with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree I disapprove of this line of discussion.

Hehe!
I don't think Engine was inferring that everyone with a Fine Arts degree is clueless about politics. You already know that though. Because you are intelligent, regardless of whether you have a Fine Arts degree or not!
