Sure, but it's still my junk. Not yours. If you were my wife and we were talking about it, then of course you would have a right to have an opinion since it would affect you as well, but if not then you have no right to tell me whether or not to get a vasectomy.

Doctors always question everything a woman wants to do to her reproductive organs, and yet they will dole out vasectomies to men like candy. It's a whole lot easier to reverse a vasectomy than it is to reverse tubal ligation (and I don't think that can actually happen, tbh), so I don't think a doctor is going to ask a man if he's 100% sure about the decision. It's not that anyone is being selfish there, it's that doctors always think that a woman is going to change her mind about if she wants kids or wants more kids.
Sorry, but that's not my problem. I don't mean that in a mean way, but how hard it is for you to get your tubes tied has zero to do with me getting snipped.

But this is exactly what is insulting to me. I may be depressed but that doesn't make my arrival at these views any less rational or valid.

I did, you should read them.

What? Are you kidding me?

It basically comes down to shaming people for wanting to have children and you might as well be shaming women for wanting to have an abortion.
I'm not shaming anyone, I'm presenting the case for a different perspective. Your argument is incoherent.

All I'm saying is that it makes sense and they go hand in hand to have those views if you are depressed. I'm not trying to say that it is irrational to hold that viewpoint and a person doesn't have to be depressed to think the way that you do but in your case I just feel like it goes together. If me saying that still feel insulting to you then I apologize but it's just the way I feel about the matter.

Life is what you make of it. Not everyone is born with a silver spoon in their mouth and they don't need to be to live a happy life. There are positives and negatives associated with life that are meant to be experienced to make you a more rounded individual I believe. Also when you create a child the best interests of the child is to protect them as much as you can and make decisions in their favor. Do you regret that your parents had you?

I see you later corrected it. The whole shaming part was associated with you claiming that people that want to have children are selfish.

I have many, many more reasons for not procreating - that just happens to be one of them. I can't even look at pregnant women without feeling disgusted - not that they're disgusting, but I'd certainly feel disgusting if that happened to me. Pregnancy isn't a miracle, and childbirth isn't beautiful.

I already have enough shit to tend to in this life, I don't need a brat soiling their pants every 5 minutes.

I might hate kids but pregnant chicks are hot. I never gave a crap about Jessica Simpson, but when she got preggers I was all like "Aw yeah, baby..."

So what makes somebody hate kids? Do they not spend a lot of time around kids or are they just a misanthrope?

There are several reasons for hating children, you don't have to be a misanthrope to hate children. It's like calling someone who dislikes cats an animal-hater.
I heard some people have an aversion for seniors, so it'd make sense if you could develop an aversion for any demographic group.

I guess if you have had a rough childhood you wouldn't want to see childhood again.
Another reason for hating kids might be the inability to deal with noise and mess kids create.
Moreover I'm sure there are subconscious reasons.

I don't know. I just don't really like them. They annoy me, they don't understand that I don't want to hear the stupid things they have to say and I can't just tell them that they're boring and dumb so I have to sit there and listen to their drivel, they smell, they make scenes in public, they can order Happy Meals without looking retarded, and I'm sure I could think of more but those are just off the top of my head.
