I think that this might be a special case.

Goofle 11-08-2016 07:47 PM

What is even happening?

Zhanteimi 11-08-2016 07:50 PM

Trump at 137 electoral votes, Clinton at 104, with the West Coast not yet reporting, and with Ohio and Florida still up for grabs.

He is grabbing the election by the pussy.

Favourite with the bookies now.

He's gone from 8/1 to 8/11 :D

Frownland 11-08-2016 07:52 PM

Do they know how the electoral college works?

Xurtio 11-08-2016 09:45 PM

Not sure what to make of this election. Trump took Florida and Ohio, but looks like Clinton might get PA. Also, is Clinton flipping Nevada and New Mexico or was she expected to win them in predictions?

New Mexico is pretty consistently blue. Nevada is a swing state, so who knows.

Ahh, I wasnt sure because Johnson had 10% there and Trump was 10% short so I was wondering if he lost some of the Republican vote to the Libertarians.

Nevada is supposed to be pretty important despite it's small numbers.

We ought to change the presidential seal to a troll face and the congress seal to that one meme of Fry from Futurama squinting.

If there is any predictor, Trump has won Ohio. It's the state that has a record of picking the winner of the presidency 93% of the time. If he doesn't win this will be one of the few times that that doesn't happen.

Janszoon 11-08-2016 11:42 PM

Well, Trump said the election would be rigged. Does this mean he was right?

Its over if all the current numbers are true. This was a weird election, I wouldn't have trusted that stat this time.

Rigged if he didn't win. Bam. Trump proved you wrong before you even considered that you weren't right.

Yay! [One of them] didn't win! Oh ****. [The other one] won. ****.

"You're hired."

If it's rigged then somehow it's set up to be rigged. I heard Hillary had a campaign was worth something ranging from 1.3 to 2 billion dollars, depending on the source. She had the media rooting for her. Even a standing president campaigning for her. Yet despite all of that it's still 50:50.

Last year I posted this on facebook.

"In a country where the average citizen struggles with the GED test, it's no wonder why Trump is so popular. He's the face of America. He will win. Mark my words on that one, he will win."

Bad has happened to me many times in my life and there are times I really hated it to the point where I want to die. Those times passed and now its better times.

Look at Mrs. Hillary versus Mr. Trump. It's no big deal. So maybe less Mexicans get to enter the USA. If you're Mexican at least you could go back and visit your family!

Exo 11-09-2016 04:55 AM

I'm broken.

I'm not even upset that an orange gorilla is now the POTUS. I'm upset that this country stood up and shouted that they wanted that. They stood up and declared "We don't care about blacks. We don't care about Muslims. We don't care about Hispanics. We don't care about LGBT. We don't care about women. We don't care about our planet. We don't care about healthcare and nature. We don't care." I've NEVER felt ashamed to be an American as much as I am today. Never. My heart goes out to all those people and issues America just voted against. My heart goes out to every person who fought for equality and progressive stances on global warming and healthcare. My heart goes out to people of color and people of the Muslim faith. This is awful.

I'm almost more ashamed of the DNC. They could have put up anybody against him and they probably would have won but instead they put up Hillary f*cking Clinton, a bitch who I would never have voted for had she not been running against everything I believe in. They ruined a chance to put in Bernie Sanders, for, even if you hated his tax and economic plans, was about as ethically and ecologically pure as I've ever seen a politician be. Yet, they backed a f*cking weasel. The DNC deserved to lose but this country deserved better.

Sh*t, maybe this country deserved it. I'm not moving like so many people are saying they are. I'll stay and continue to voice my opinion on what I feel is right and wrong but I can't shake this feeling of total dread and loneliness I feel right now.

Strap in. This is going to be a long four years for pretty much everybody who isn't a racist homosexual bigot.

In other news the Governor race in North Carolina is still neck and neck so I'll keep you posted.

I can't imagine why people would be voting against the interests of NC's economy as a whole here though... but oh, right! Everyone here's ALSO racist, xenophopic, and gay-bashing.

I couldn't agree more with you either Exo, I'm more than pissed about what has happened.

Jesus! Chua Me O!

My real parents (mom Vu Thi Thuyen Huong and dad Nguyen Binh Thuy) went to America over 40 years ago. They worked their a** off to scrape enough to keep us 3 biological kids out of the projects that we used to stay across from! They always tell me be fair.

Just because a guy or gal is alone does not mean they are gay or lesbian! I am alone because I am waiting for the right time (money, home, good neighbours, etc.) for my kids I want to have in the future.

Rights of people are good, but it doesn't rest in a single person's hand... you and each person has something to do with it. If a police officer tells you to strip and let them rape you are you just going to let it happen? **** no!!! You fight until you get far away and tell someone what the **** just happened or you die while trying to get out instead of let someone rape you!!!!!!!!!!!!

djchameleon 11-09-2016 05:16 AM

This is pretty much Brexit Part 2.

Rural America showed up and showed out. All the xenophobia and bigotry that Trump was so proud of during his rallies motivated them.

Love the term "whitelash" that's essentially what it was.
