^ Thanks to both of you. Yeah, he's very clever with words; I've enjoyed several of his programs on YouTube, but have never seen him quoted on MB, hence the question.

I watched a real eye-opener of his, exposing the overseas marketing policies of the tobacco giants, and if you watch the program I just posted, you'll see that he comes down hard on Trump, so by the standards of today's Trial by Tabloid, I'm prepared to find TD guilty as charged.

John Oliver is pretty popular, he just won an Emmy for best late night talk show. I think his earlier segment on Trump was brought in too.

^ Wow, an Emmy, huh? He seems to have quite a vendetta against Trump too.

Yup, he won an Emmy while Trump lost the two that he was nominated for. Sure showed him!

For The Apprentice? Please tell me that show was never nominated for any awards.

^ haha! Never seen Trump as a tv host, so I find it hard to imagine.

In England we don't have much cross-over from tv personality to politician; the only one I can think of off-hand is actress Glenda Jackson, who became a labour MP I believe. Plenty of cross-overs from journalism to politics and back again, though. Controvertial Boris Johnson was once an unreliable journalist with one of those "plain-speaking regular guy" type columns that encourage people to be as prejudiced as they secretly want to be.

Kentucky GOP politician Dan Johnson posted these pictures on his Facebook page. When asked he stated that they weren't racist and that he was just having some fun.

This attitude represents a large portion of the GOP voters these days.

Thank you for the stereotype. I'll do my best to live up to it.
