Hey, if you don't want to aspire to this level of proficiency on your instrument that's fine. Just don't diss on people who do. We can't all pull it off with knitting needle like Frowney.

If you want to be proficient, then that's fantabulous, but if you want to be proficient just so that you can tell everybody how proficient you are, then what's the point? At the very least you should probably keep your Dream Theater inspirations to yourself.

I legitimately think that Petrucci, while he can play like, woah, fast, dude, but everything I've heard from Dream Theater or Liquid Tension Experiment is just like drinking a lifeless, boring, flat soda.
