Talking about how off topic posts are is technically pretty off topic in itself.

Blessed are those who'd turn to any solution in a time of weakness.

It is believed all but one Apostle died a martyr. John was spared martyrdom. He was the only one out of the apostles to witness the crufication of Jesus. Both Peter and Paul were martyred in Rome.

Christianity has a much more storied past when it comes to violence and extremism.

Islamic extremism is much more a defensive reaction from the 20th century, where-as Christianity has always been on the offensive for the last 2,000+ years.
Bull****

Iran and Iraq fought their crazy war over some Sunni Shiite conflict. Iran went from the Shah to the Ayatollah. Afghanistan tried a little normalcy but decided it liked the ****hole loser plan instead. In India both Pakistan and East Pakistan (Bangladesh) strike up trouble with their neighbor. Morocco blows up **** in Spain. Mali has become a ****hole Taliban scumfest. Algeria has been running through village after village killing everyone in sight. Indonesia blows **** up in Bali and Australia and the whole country is an improvised ****hole. Libya obviously ****. Sudan kills every non-Muslim in sight. Ethiopia and Somalia- just their names say it all. Nigeria, maybe the worst place of all. Syria- lol. Gases children. Iraq same against Kurds. Chechnya? Terror fanatics of the worst order. Islam caused the whole problem in Serbia Bosnia Croatia thing. Kashmir. Egypt? Arab Spring? Might have worked if it weren't for the Arabs. Lebanon? ****hole. Saudi Arabia? Horrifying bad oppression. Where do you find female genital mutilation? In the Muslim world. Yemen - ****. Qatar- ****. Kuwait - ****. The whole immigration into Europe thing? Disaster. No go zones. America? 9/11.

It's all because of Israel? Really? Look at the size of Israel. The problem is Islam is a horrible belief system and its adherents do horrible **** everywhere they go. It's a cancer on the world. It's a big violent cluster**** of oppression everywhere it manifests itself. I don't want to hate Islam. But this liberal trend toward blindness to the obvious truth is maddening. Not every faith is good. Not every culture has equal value. Sorry if that's inconvenient for people who want multi-culturalism but it's true. If you're Muslim and you lack the self-reflection it takes to say hey this is bull**** then you are a ****ing moron. That's billions of morons. Violent idiots.

It's fun to point to the Inquisition but if it slowed down the spread of Islam maybe that too has to be reconsidered. And if Islam keeps up its quest for world domination round two is going to work out much worse for them. Sooner or later, if Islam doesn't reform Russia, China, America, UK, and France are going to get smart and get together and eliminate this ****ing cancer.

On the subject of current Catholic behavior, my local archdiocese is now trying to fight against positive changes to sexual abuse laws:

Justice Out of Balance | Pennsylvania Catholic Conference
Quote:
It [PA, house bill 1947] would not apply to public schools or government agencies. Public entities would still be able to claim sovereign immunity from lawsuits, even though the vast majority of Pennsylvania students — 83 percent — attend public school. Survivors abused in public schools, juvenile detention facilities, or county foster care programs could not bring suits under the legislation.

Take a few minutes to read this interview with maybe the most noted authority on the history of religion.

Karen Armstrong: "There is nothing in the Islam that is more violent than Christianity" - Nieuwwij

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karen_Armstrong

I'd also highly recommend her book "The Case for God".
