The Frozen Trucker v. The Bolognese Bloodletter: Why we read law sensibly, not literally

OccultHawk 04-06-2017 07:49 PM

Trump finally attempts to expand his executive power via warfare.

I thought Trump was in bed with Russia and would never do anything against Syria?

Kudos to Trump for this. Gotta give him props this time around.

No one's saying we haven't made blunders in the past, I'm sure we all understand that, but by using chemical weapons for years and killing 400,000 civilians at this point by a regime run by a dictator, (not to mention ISIS to make things worse) fuck yeah, let's blow their shit up because you know why? Because any other country won't step up to the plate to help these people out and America always saves the day.

So that's me off the Trump train, not that those wheels weren't falling off already. Shame.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer him infinitely to Clinton or Obama for other reasons, but I can't support somebody bombing the **** out of other countries. Especially when based on a flimsy narrative with hardly any time to consider what actually happened.

Let's save those Syrian citizens by killing swathes of civilians. That'll show Assad!

Yeah, there definitely needed to be an investigation conducted by the UN beforehand
(even if the UN are as insufficient as it gets)
