Rand Paul's paranoia about Obama is at least moderately funny in comparison.

2. Trump's unpredictability on the world stage has proven to be, at least to me, the one thing about him that's compelling. Enemy nations can't wrap their heads around him so when you see stuff like China putting pressure on North Korea as a "consequence" of Trump's words and actions you realize there might be something to that old "4D chess" meme after all. Very different from past administrations but maybe not bad in the long run.
If I were to pick three things I wanted in a leader (and yes, it matters to us too, as apart from anything else he's going to try take on our low corporate tax rate) I think entertaining would not be on the list. At all.

I dunno if you should be brushing off the last few decades of history like that. Trump didn't occur in a vacuum as much as the Democrats would like to believe otherwise.

Entertainment is one of those things that's nice to have. Kind of like how Bill Clinton played the sax.

Good leadership, fairness, courage, statesmanship, intelligence, compassion, understanding of his job and that of others, understanding of the world around him ... Nope: don't see entertainment there. Kind of like saying what you want from a band is that they like kittens. It helps if they know how to play their instruments first, and it's a hell of a lot more important. A president can be entertaining, to a degree, but this ain't a popularity contest nor a reality show: this is the big one, reality. Real life. And it's ****ing serious.

Did Obama demonstrate any of these qualities when millions of Americans lost their livelihoods in the aftermath of the Recession yet he chose not to go after Wall-Street despite having the power to do? Or hold anyone to anything resembling accountability? Trump is gonna have to work pretty hard to top that one.

At the end of the day, Trump is just an example of Peter's Principle at work. Means well maybe, but way over head and not detail oriented enough to make anyone happy. Even his fellow rich will hate him in the long run since he's also talking about breaking up the big banks.

At the same time, he's not devoid of the qualities you've mentioned: he's just dug himself into such a deep hole that there's no way for him to come out of this in a positive light. Kind of like how people felt about Bush after the Iraq War.

See, I never had any amazing expectations for Trump to begin with (seeing as I didn't vote for him). Hard to be disappointed in somebody when everything about him is a big ? mark even to people in his own tax bracket. I would have been thrilled if he could have improved the ACA, but I knew it was a longshot.

Ant, once again, trying to defend the fact that he's kissing Trump's ass. As usual.

Obama inherited the recession thanks to GWB. He relied on numerous economic advisers on how to handle things and ended up fixing it as best as any person could have under the circumstances. Both my 401K and home value recovered as a result.

Re: Unemployment. Companies that had been operating fat prior to the economic collapse were simply forced to learn how to operate a lot leaner. After the economy recovered were they simply suppose to re-hire everyone back? Can't blame that on the president.

Obama left office with one of the top 5 highest approval ratings of any president. Trump has the absolute worst approval rating after his first 100 days and has managed to piss everyone off (except for Ant) in the process.

Glad that ammuses you.

So because you benefited then the millions of other people out there who didn't should just eat shit? Typical Chula: 0 reading comprehension (must have missed my last few posts), 100% hypocrisy.

The stimulus package came at the tail-end of the Bush administration. Obama had the opportunity to build on it and failed miserably. There are countless people who have still not recovered from that disaster. What has Trump done in his first one hundred days that even remotely compares to that?

The rest of your post isn't even worth commenting on.
