How do they fly bomber aircraft into these caves without them crashing into the cave walls?

They don't have to fly into the caves that's why they used a more powerful bomb so they can drop it from overhead and it will still destroy all the tunnels within the cave. Use your noggin sir.

This seems to be an ominous development to me, for two reasons:-

i) throwing heavy artillary and big bombs at troops is often strategically ineffective. It didn't help much in the First World War, and it didn't help much in Vietnam.
ii) at a time when most of the world is worried about N.Korea's escalating military showmanship, the US is setting a pretty bad example.

Depending on how many innocent Afgans have been killed, it could also turn into another home goal in the game of international PR, if you know what I mean; that the Afgans will not see the US as protecting them from extremists, but as aggressors instead.

Anything the US does is going to be used as propaganda for extremists. I really don't think at this stage worrying about that is an issue.

^ Yes, I agree. I was really talking about the opinion of the ordinary Afghan people; the ones tired of violence, who just want to earn some money and send their kids to school. Luckily, from what CNN is reporting this morning, there were no civilian casualties, so let's hope the bombing won't stir up anti-American feeling among the general Afghan population.

I think he means that if Trump/America want to be seen to be a democratic state then it's going to backfire if they just drop bombs on their enemies without any sanctions or discussion.

You don't see how the destruction and destabilization caused by American bombs create anti-U.S. sentiments? And how this creates a recruitment potential for extremist groups?

Also, on North Korea: it's a ****ing terrible regime, but they're not exactly a threat to world peace. The main reason they've been developing nuclear weapons is to stave off a U.S. invasion.
