Topic for discussion: Will there be a war between China and the United States at some point?

as to how far each side takes it..idk :shycouch: |

The (economic) ties that bind are strong and the Chinese are a notoriously deliberate people. Short of some Elliott Carver-type plot (Tomorrow Never Dies) to provoke a physical war, I don't see one as likely. A question for any lurking Sinophiles: do you think China will keep its structure/territory over the next 10-20 years? Or do you see a Soviet-style breakup coming as their market continues to march toward a laissez-faire-lite economy? |

I have only heard one good thing Trump has done yet his supporters still think he is the best thing since sliced bread.

So, when are you Americans going to storm the White House and kick the president out?
He's no better than Putin or some other leader of less reputable nations. It's disgraceful to see the supposedly great, free, Democratic nation of the US sink so low. I have no more faith in your government's ability to do the right thing than I do the governments of Russia, China and North Korea. Trump is an aggressive, simple minded monkey with launch codes. How the hell did that happen? Seeing the president of China advise Trump to take it easy on the rhetoric towards North Korea... Never thought I'd see the day! And what's with the whole Charlottesville farce? He's an alt-right, white supremacist sympathizer too now? Or rather, it's confirmed now, but he probably always was. People used to insist he wasn't far right. Sure. I seriously hope he gets assassinated. I'm not a US citizen, so the CIA can't touch me for writing that  |
You shouldn't have had faith in us to begin with.
And treason is easier said than done. |

No US President has been good in my opinion. Trump infuriates me more than any other though because his proofreading skills are non-existent.

It has more to do with the fact that he doesn't treat the office, his job, or his responsibilities very seriously.

No, he'$ very $mart.
It's too bad we couldn't find out what he and his family's net worth was on day 1 of his presidency and be able to compare with what they will be worth the day he leaves office. |

There's a number of ways that raids can be carried out. Sometimes they are mid day with a knock at the door. Breaking down a door while the occupants are sleeping is pretty severe. Whatever Mueller showed the Federal judge who authorized the raid had to have been extremely compelling. The jury is out until Mueller inverstigation is over. He's also requested additional bodies to help with all of the work. I'm assuming there's quite a bit there. |
Or it could be for an entirely different case. This is not even a warm gun, let alone a smoking one.

It's all part of Trump's 5-D underwater chess game.

The only thing the raid is evidence of is the raid itself. I'm just not willing to make assumptions based on partial evidence. Guess it's a generational thing.

This story has been flying a bit under the radar. Three CEOs from major corporations (Intel, Merck, Underamour) have resigned from the president's councel in the past couple of days.
With past presidents whenever this would happen it would have a negative impact on the company's stock because investors would get nervous as to why. Intel, Merck, and Underarmour's stock all immediately went up. |
