I don't see it as even all that direct competition. White horrorcore rap is different from most rap made by black people, so the more relevant question would be if Eminem is a threat to black rap, since he's in the same wheelhouse, earning millions and millions.

Black people maybe even buy black hip hop, in part, because it's made by black artists. Relating and all that. ICP is listened to by a different demographic.

If anything, he might be more in the business part of it—investing and the like—possibly helping them through such.

I know nothing about hip hop, so I just took an artist that used to be big back when I still got exposed to this kind of music. Eminem still makes albums, I know that much. I don't know if anyone still cares.

The specificity of the music is problematic for me insofar that I'm largely ignorant of it, and maybe a few others here—though as this is a music forum I joined less than 24 hours ago, I might be surprised.

His other possibility is that it isn't, which though I haven't heard the music, save for Eminem, I find it hard to believe. Unless it's classical, some kind of European ethnic, or aboriginal, it probably has some black in it—particularly Eminem—even the speech and phrases—know what I'm saying?

Aside from his hits in the very late 1990s/very early 00s, I tended to ignore him, or at least tried to. Perhaps wrongly I considered his music to be mysgynistic, homophobic, and him—if I understood correctly—whining about he hated his ex- and mother. His obsession with Britney and Christina to be stupid and I like Moby.

His big political song in 2004 came too late to affect Dubya's re-election; however I heard his thing about Trump and I kinda liked it—though it too is a bit late. Trump will win in 2020—I don't like the prospect, but it seems to be a new American tradition-of-sorts to re-elect incumbents as presidents—that and Warren not apologizing for her own borrowing of aboringinal culture and officially posing as one years ago.

Indeed, as I think of it, the use of the word "posse" is itself kinda black: I know it's Latin, but the use in this context is somewhat, perhaps mostly, black.

Who's kids do you think have it better off? Jay-Z's kids or a doctor's kids?

Who do you think creates more jobs? Who do you think provides more for the community to give the opportunity for black people to become doctors in the first place? People that prosper are people that own their own industries. It gets passed down through generations and builds a better economy. A black doctor can't guarantee a job for their siblings, cousins or children unless they own a business. Your connections are more important to your success. Who do you think builds more relationships with people that can open doors for you to explore other ventures? A doctor or a successful business owner. If you think ownership isn't important you are just clueless. The biggest reason why black people haven't been able to prosper is because they were prevented from owning anything to make money off of. You can get all these high profile jobs working for white people but ultimately you're making money for white people who are using their resources to help their family, not yours.
