I have no problems with the mods here, not yet at least.

As for WP (and WC and WT): I tend to agree, though less so with editors with accounts (or when they use them), more so with IPs.

I still don't quite get it.

I've seen people go to court in baggy pants and sweat pants.

If my embedding lots of videos is a problem, I'll try to keep it to Literotica forums.

The Soviets were buddy-buddy with Papa Assad.

The Russians want a friendly Arab country, a port in the Mediterranean, and maybe an ally, or ally-of-sorts, that borders Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon, and Israel. Also there is a significant non-Sunni, and even Christian, presence.

Thanks for the compliment.

However, you're likely as much an expert as I—perhaps more so.

There are a few PiL songs I like, and a few crappier ones—which I heard a lot on radio.

U2 has a career going on about 40 years with lots of records and 100s of songs. Lots of dross and a few good ones.

You are the one who implied Lydon was better. I gave my videos as examples that U2 was better, which your only implied criticism was that they were popular. You haven't given examples. It's your burden of proof. If I think that PiL has fewer, if any, better videos, why should I bother with a wild goose chase in a possibly futile attempt to find them? Give me, say, 3 PiL videos you think are better than my U2 embeds, or even ones you just like—excepting Theme and Public image, and I'll give them a listen and I think reasonably fair comments—as my dislike of PiL songs seem to be less—maybe far less—than you of U2/Bono.

if you don’t understand why PiL is so much better than U2 it’s disgraceful to compare the two the burden is on you to educate yourself

You didn't criticise them at all, you just made disparaging remarks.

Popularity is a bit indicative of talent—unless you're one of those snobs who thinks the majority of people are stupid. Length of career means more work. More work likely means better chances of good songs.

Talk is cheap: give me 3 videos.

An idea, even though I've been a member here for less than 54 hours.

Try for this for size:

Poll: Bono, HR, Johnny Lydon: How do you rank them?

best to worst

Bono, HR, Lydon
Bono, Lydon, HR
HR, Bono, Lydon
HR, Lydon, Bono
Lydon, Bono, HR
Lydon, HR, Bono

What forum do you suggest—again, I'm kinda new here?

how much talent is there in the vocals of Sex Pistol's platinum selling record?
Huh?

Let's see if I got the history.
1. We have timing—punk was happening.
2. We have Malcolm McLaren, who has some talent in marketing.
3. We have daring and boldness—though some of that could be a attributed to NGingAF.
4. The thing came crashing in late 1978.
5. Lydon started over again.
6. He did well for a few years: some talent in music, some in PR, and perhaps like some DJ who does weddings and Bar Mitvahs, clowns for children's parties, or a music teacher managing to get by giving lessens, session work, and occasionally busking, he keeps it going.

Btw.
As search for U2 proved fruitless, though Bono gives 9 results.

Maybe it's a different kind of talent.

Edit: If your opinion on an artist or their talent relies on popularity then perhaps you don't actually enjoy music and you just use it as a novelty or fashion accessory.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

For the most part it doesn't.

For a while my favourite Irish band was MBV

I'm going to bypass the YouTube embedding issue and post these links:

My Bloody Valentine - Only Shallow (HD)

My Bloody Valentine - Soon (Official Music Video)—which kinda sounds like U2 during their Zooropa stage.

There's also Stiff Little Fingers I embedded earlier in this thread.

or maybe you'll say she started it.

But no, it was Bill who started it—he started the punk movement in Britain!
