Batman used his wealth to create a cave-dwelling, cosplay family including a circus acrobat who regularly punch evil clowns and startle the police commissioner. Abuse of the proletariat is acceptable if you're charmingly eccentric.

Yah. That's also partly why I thought last year's Joker movie was lame. They reduced one of the best characters ever into a boring incel.

I liked it but not so much because it was an interesting portrayal of the Joker but because it was a pretty good movie. Like, I was waiting the whole time for them to connect the character's journey into becoming the Joker but that never quite happened and so I was left with just appreciating the movie as something comic book inspired rather than being an actual comic book movie.

Honestly I find myself not liking the Nolan Batman movies as much as I used to cause as good as they are and as neat as it was to see such realistic superhero movies in the wake of all those corny early-mid 00s comic book movies, in 2020 they seem kind of bland.

He's a hundreds-year-old eco-terrorist who wants to drastically reduce the human population so that the earth can heal from pollution and deforestation who has assembled a cult following of fanatical assassins that see him as a messianic figure due to his using evil pits of nebulously supernatural liquids (Lazarus pits) that sustain his life indefinitely while also slowly driving him insane.

Except in that movie where he's just an old guy with some ninjas who just kinda wants to destroy Gotham cause it's too corrupt for his tastes and he's Liam Neeson so it more or less works anyway even if it isn't as cool.

I'm sure Batman could get Gotham to go green if he tried. But he doesn't.

Blame the incel writers.
