I'm not defending Trump here I was just pointing out that the idea of unidentified homeless Corona deaths wasn't really a parallel to the China claim.

Not wanting to dock the ships cause it would add to the numbers also isn't parallel to systematic misrepresentation of the numbers on a wide scale. Beyond the difference in scale, it was completely done in public and broad daylight so you couldn't even really call that an attempted cover up - it was obviously stupid and clearly irresponsible but it's still an apples to oranges comparison. I've said before that Trump has made the situation worse by trying to downplay it and avoid bad headlines. Nothing at all new here.

Like I also said, I've seen no hard evidence that the accusations against China in this regard are even true. However, if they are true then yea it's way more significant with regard to hiding useful information that can inform the global pandemic response.

You're being incredibly obtuse. It's not a parallel situation, that doesn't mean there aren't any similarities whatsoever (in terms of motive or what have you). The scale and potential implications really matters more than anything.
