As elph’s spokesperson I don’t think he’s that optimistic about the entire state of Texas.

I could see CA going red. Southern counties are all majority red, and anywhere with a concentration of big money really.

debaserr 07-28-2020 08:11 AM

Yea, no, Cali isn't going for Trump lmao.

WWWP 07-28-2020 08:17 AM

I'm not saying for trump I'm just saying it's a possibility.

Trump won Texas by 9 points. It's not a swing state. The fact that it's even close there is just a referendum on how bad Trump is doing right now. It has nothing to do with demographic change in the last 4 years.

Cali, it literally doesn't matter who you vote for if you live there.

Frownland 07-28-2020 08:25 AM

Can confirm that despite the decent range of leftism you'll see in city centres, California is riddled with enough conservatives to make it possible. The anti-mask/pro-Trump crowd is already significant where I live, a "moderate" could probably swing a lot of the less vocal conservatives and neoliberals. Seems like they've succumbed to defeatism though.

Anecdotes are fun but Trump won't be winning Cali.

It is likely reflective of how bad Trump is doing right now, but it may also be reflective of problems with how the polling is done. We are also assuming that everyone who answers the pollsters answers them honestly.

I tend to agree with this. Maybe sometime in the distant future an [R] could win the state of California, but I don't see it happening any time soon. Same with New York.

WWWP 07-28-2020 08:29 AM

Remember when Arnold (R) was elected?

Or when Prop 8 passed?

Or when CA voted to build a ten million dollar execution chamber that has never been used lol

But sure, they'd never vote for Trump.
