The more you can eliminate scarcity, the less leverage the rich actually get with their money. That's why labor, energy and food are the primary areas that need to be dealt with in regards to tech advancements + cost effectiveness. Imagine being able to provide meat, veggies, etc. to everyone without the need for farms, slaughterhouses, etc. etc. Hell, they're already growing filet mignon steaks in labs with just a cell or two from the cow.
And in regards to health care, I think we're still in the dark ages in regards to a lot of things as well as biotech, but we are still seeing advances in those areas despite everything that's going on.
