You mean the "the business of America is business" guy? I think I might be good. Were we invading anyone at the time to be fair?

Nope, but less than six months after he left office the Great Depression happened.

DescriptionCalvin Coolidge was an American politician and lawyer who served as the 30th president of the United States from 1923 to 1929.
Quote:
1912–1925: Nicaragua: From August to November 1912, U.S. forces protected American interests during an attempted revolution ... remained until August 5, 1925 ... In 1927, the United States had 5,670 troops ashore in China and 44 naval vessels in its waters ... Date July 28, 1915 – August 1, 1934
(19 years and 4 days)
Location
Haiti, Hispaniola
Result American victory ...

1924: Honduras: From February 28 to March 31, and from September 10 to 15, U.S. forces protected American lives and interests during election hostilities. ...

1925: Panama: From October 12 to 23, strikes and rent riots led to the landing of about 600 American troops to keep order and protect American interests
Guess WW1 wasn’t satisfying enough for American bloodlust.

he was being pressured by the military and his generals and advisors to be much tougher than he was. He didn't want war. It's highly possible that if we had someone like Truman in office when Kennedy was president, the cold war would've went hot.
