Actually, it does. If the argument were so compelling, those advocating it would be putting it into practice.

But the conclusion is that with us as well selfish desires outweigh our altruism. Again and again it’s being acknowledged as a shortcoming.

How egotistical of us all, to just relent that we're all pieces of shit, and then go on to argue over the metrics of our shittiness, rather than getting up off of our lazy, greedy asses and doing something altruistic or benevolent. Shame on us all.

You have to realize that no matter how much pocket change you donate, no matter if you sell ALL of your material wealth and donate it to charity, you're just feeding it all into a system that will continue to suck dick.

I wanna appreciate the irony as well that were all arguing this while sitting on our computers and laptops and using the Internet to talk about how we spend our money while simultaneously not doing a single thing about it but sit on our computers and argue about it. Good stuff.
