I don’t think there’ll be any changes for three months

If after two weeks I don’t like it then **** it

At the recommendation of my therapist I've started 2020 100% sober. No caffeine, no alcohol, no weed, no sugar. It's going great so far. I've had coffee every day since I was 15 and I've smoked weed every day for the last like 12 years. It's nice to not feel dependent on anything, I'm super hydrated and thinking about goals & the future again. Meds are good, I'm eating regularly and healthily, sleep is a little out of whack due to traveling but things are pretty good my dudes.

Any time I've gone clean, I was crazy groggy and couldn't get enough sleep for a couple of weeks, like my body was catching up on healthy sleep, so your out of whack sleep schedule might be from more than travelling.

Thanks, it feels good. I'm starting some intensive trauma processing in therapy this week and I'm going to need to feel the emotions rather than run from them. At the moment I'm committed to a sober January, but I kind of want to see what a sober 2020 would be like. I'm aiming for more productivity, more exercise, more time outdoors. I hope this is the year I start writing again.

Much respect. Conditioning your mind and body after years of all that ain't no easy task.

Every day for twelve years? Damn.
Sobriety will do you a whole lot of good.
Weed is nice, but smoking every day is terrible and ****s one up much more than people think.
The energy you feel at some point after quitting is amazingly pleasant.

SCIENTISTS DISCOVER SIX GENETIC LINKS TO ANXIETY IN LARGEST-EVER STUDY ON SUBJECT

To find these genetic markers, researchers examined genetic and health data derived from 200,000 veterans of the United States Armed Forces

The variants that were determined to relate to anxiety disorders were found on chromosomes 1, 3, 6, 7 and 20. One of the variants, the one on chromosome 7, was previously identified to be correlated with higher occurrences of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
Occult’s perfect world: massive studies are done to determine which drugs work best with each unwanted genetic variation. A patient comes in complaining of anxiety. An attempt is made to determine the genetic variation. When found the correct medicine and dosage are given with very little guess work.

Same process as high cholesterol or blood pressure. Look at the physiology and go forward with the treatment accordingly.
