I never liked Moulin Rouge outside of the art design but I did enjoy Romeo + Juliet.

I've only seen part of Romeo + Juliet but didn't even finish it. Not even the source material and Claire Danes could save it

He was a straight up teen girl sex symbol back then though. Teen boys felt about him the same way they felt about Justin Bieber: he looks gay and I'm jealous.
