That thread wasn't 9/11. We can talk about it guys.

Yeah it wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that good either.

I thought it was an intellectually stimulating discussion and a rousing good ol' time

...I hope you know that people may believe you to be a troll after that 'intellectually stimulating discussion and [rousing] good ol' time.' I don't, but some do.

I didn't find the thread particularly helpful. I started that discussion as a call to action, and so far, not many members have taken the call.
The thread Trollheart created for new members, now THAT is the kind of action I wanted to members to take after reading my post.

This one really confuses me because it means multiple things. I know a guy who uses it regularly as both 'funny as f*ck' and 'fit as f*ck' - I never know whether he finds someone sexually attractive or hilarious.

Bro, that welcome thread is an awesome piece of work and a definitive resource for any questions anyone could have, I'm not sure what more you could've realistically hoped for when you made that thread.

I believe you are overreacting slightly. I did say please (and thank you) when I asked for you to use full words/commas.

It brings an element of mystery to this site. We'll be thankful when we see an increase in our analytical skills.

Alright mods, I have a suggestion for a new forum rule:

Serious statements have to be written in normal black, sarcastic ones in red, and jokes in green. What do you think?

I definitely agree that this is a good idea.

But what about color blind people? :(

Horrible idea.

Worst idea ever perhaps.

Paul Smeenus 04-10-2014 11:24 AM

^ I like you, Briks, and I realize that was a bit of a joke, but it's your responsibility to keep up. If you're confused by something, google it. I've dropped that hint on you numerous times. :)

No, the good fight is against YOU sir and your refusal to accept Springsteen as a legitimately good artist. The guy has his own SiriusXM station!

DarkOrchid means you're being satirical.

YorkeDaddy 04-10-2014 11:29 AM

I think when we're insulting people it should be in yellow. So stop being a dick, Urban.

I was brought up as a kid being forced to listen to The Boss, by my mom who has decidedly horrible taste in music. Her other love is Steve Winwood, can you imagine the horror of an impressionable mind being subjected to that on the daily. I will respectfully decline the legitimacy of Bruce Springsteen.

You forgot to color code the bolded portion as being sarcastic.

Dads however always have great music taste. I was raised on Pixies, Husker Du, and Cocteau Twins.

You too lazy to use green text?

Paul Smeenus 04-10-2014 11:55 AM

The only thing I will say about Springsteen (mainly the early Nebraska era stuff) is that at least he writes from the heart. I will give anyone props for that.
