I know that, but all it has is generic smilies. How do you get that drunk smiley or the flute one?

:D

A laugh track is different. Laughter is infectious, so if a bunch of people on TV are laughing then it makes you want to laugh. It's scientistic.

D'awww, you guys are much too kind. I seriously don't think I've visited a forum with as many friendly people as there seem to be here.

Give it time.. the good times don't last forever.

Not trying to bum you out just being realistic.

Goofle 05-07-2014 12:37 PM

I've not had a single bad moment on this forum. Not that I can remember anyway.

James 05-07-2014 12:38 PM

Nobody's ever been anything less than friendly. Annoying, yes. Nasty? Nope.

Goofle 05-07-2014 12:42 PM

I just get along with the people I like and post about music. I fail to understand how so many people seem to end up arguing and getting genuinely upset when it's relatively easy to avoid.

I'm glad music phantom (numbers) is posting again! Welcome back!

Did he change his name? Was his old name crash something or entirely different person?

Rimjobs aren't nasty.Embrace it Francis!

I third it. Cicatrice's new journal is pretty excellent, now all we need do is get HPD to start one of her own. Hint hint.... :shycouch:

Seriously, welcome both of you. Hope you do stick around.

Why does it all have to be about jounals? I worked extremely hard on the Ditty Bops catalog review I have linked in my sigfile, but I put it in reviews instead of journals, and I'll probably continue to do so with all my reviews going forward. *shrug*

Isbjørn 05-07-2014 02:29 PM

Journals = the ****, and you can't sit at the cool kids' table until you have one.

Paul Smeenus 05-07-2014 02:31 PM

I'm ok with that.

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

I had a few moments to talk with James and WhateverDude earlier this morning, and both seemed very friendly!

Really enjoying my experience here. And as for my journal, hopefully my writing improves a great deal, but I do enjoy spouting my opinion about music. haha.

hate paper doll 05-07-2014 02:37 PM

I'm a terrible writer, any journal of mine would be an utter disappointment.

So am i and that didn't stop me. ;)

Whether ppl here watch it or not i'll still keep writing on it cause for me it's a very cathartic experience, you get to dig inside yourself to find what you want to say and the kinda music that you like.

ive had to wiki alot of stuff and learn some in depth details about the bands i want to illustrate but sadly i have to compress all that info cause i have a cap limit.

I know, I know! I really have to cut back. There's more to life than journ --- oh hell, just one more entry! I promise! Then I'll stop. Really. I will. No honestly. I know I said last time. But I'm serious now. I am. Just let me get Nickelback Week done and I'll take a break. Rehab you say? Oh man, I have a problem and I need to admit it! :shycouch:

PS Paul I bet you would write one tremendous journal you know.
STOP IT! I know, I know! I need help.... :jailed:

You can't be any worse of a writer than me. And as Black Francis said above its really as much about learning and enjoying yourself as much as it is anything else.

Trollheart 05-07-2014 03:28 PM

I'm sure you're a great writer HPD, but if you need a hand this might help point you in the right direction if you decide to take the plunge...
