I agree. Well, I like Springsteen, but I still agree.

Dude I would have commited homicide if I was forced to listen to Snowbird. As it stands I was forced to listen to [Do that to me one more time] on more then one occassion. Captain and Tennile never grew on me.

Heh, my mom raised me on Elton John, Billy Joel, the Cars, the Police, the Beatles, the Bee Gees, the Stones, ZZ Top, Nazareth, KISS, Alice Cooper. Those were all on regular rotation in my house.

My dad listened to pretty much everyone who played at CBGB's, Talking Heads are his favourite. Also REM, Pixies, Husker Du, the Replacements, and 70's metal like Black Sabbath. Plus jazz and classical.

bob. 04-10-2014 12:18 PM

your parents have great taste

and BD i love Canadians :)

Goofle 04-10-2014 12:19 PM

I wasn't raised on any music. I just kinda listened to whatever was on MTV or whatever till I was about 14.

That wasn't that bad, try growing up with this kind of music

All my mother listened to were cheesy power ballads and she loved Chicago and Journey.

To this day Pete Cetera's voice makes me wanna cringe my whole body and take a dump.

bob. 04-10-2014 12:23 PM

first band i ever saw live was Chicago

Goofle 04-10-2014 12:24 PM

5ive for me. They were great.

There's a reason both of those chicks fill discount bins at the record stores (and Herb Alpert, but I'd take Herb over Barbara and Anne without question).

So there's that.

Your parents were cool, that's why.

My parents were complete polar opposites when it came to music; my upbringing explains why I love the Carpenters and KISS.

Goofle11 - Doesn't read books. Is still pretentious. What a bastard.

Isbjørn 04-10-2014 01:32 PM

Oh, that was the subject.

Sansa - Pretentious and reads too many books

Sansa Stark 04-10-2014 01:37 PM
