Further, we have not yet (as far as I'm aware) had a community vote that mods cannot partake in the same general rule-abiding freedoms as the members of this site. In the event that such a thing happens, I will gladly adapt to such a ruling.

As far as a general "lead by example" concept which I think is what you're getting at, you do have a point. If it is more appropriate that I sugar-coat my opinion in a thread specifically designed (by me, btw) to create an environment of total honesty by all, no matter how circle jerk or not, then please officially submit such a request to me or any of the other mods and we'll discuss the implementation of it as necessary.

Man you still don't for some reason get it. You can't just outright insult people and then cloak it in the excuse that you were "offering your opinion". Take responsibility for what you do, mod or no: you hurt people's feelings here by concentrating on superficial aspects of their personality, and it was a nasty thing to do. I'm all for freedom of expression but you have to draw the line somewhere, and personal insults is where I think it should be drawn.

You can dance around this all you like, but the fact is you were a dick and you have not really apologised to the ladies for your insensitivity, nor do I expect you will, because then that would mean you were admitting you were wrong, something that seems quite alien to you.

And if you can't understand why it's "out of the blue", it's because nobody expects to suddenly be attacked about their appearance --- least of all ladies, least of all two of the most popular ladies here --- without any warning, reason or explanation. Still bull. This thread is, so far as I know, a place to say what you think about people's personalities, since that's the only thing we can judge them on, having never met. I don't believe it was ever intended for petty insults or personal attacks. What you did was reprenhensible, and trying to make out that I don't know what this thread is for, after nearly four years here, is pretty weak. You can't excuse a nasty attack like that by saying "Oh it's SYG". Not as far as I'm concerned. You can keep trying to excuse, justify or rationalise it, but it comes down to pure rudeness and unnecessary personal attacks, which I will never accept are okay.
