^The only argument I can put against you for argument sake is that gay guys use the term ***got sometimes, in a non demeaning way. It could just depend on the person, but I don't think it's meant as offensive when they say it. However, I grew up thinking the word should never be used as a way to describe something bad or describe anything for that matter.

Hell yes. My use of the word has tailed off drastically after high school, but in the right company, throwing around offensive words of all kinds is perfectly enjoyable.
