The OF VOL 2 tape leaked, i can pm someone the link, otherwise it should be everywhere by morning time i'd imagine.

Sparky 03-16-2012 01:39 AM

It goes pretty hard. Earl is on it somewhere i heard, but i havent heard him yet.

Still rapping about the same shit, did they say otherwise?

Idk i don't care as of this moment

Goofle 03-16-2012 03:04 AM

Never cared personally. Won't check anything they do unless it gets praised by a few people who's opinion I respect.

Thom Yorke 03-16-2012 07:13 AM

Haven't given it all a listen yet but I skipped right to the last track (Oldie) with Earl, and he drops a pretty impressive verse (about 7 minutes in). Looks like all the Youtube videos of it are getting shut down right now so I can't post it.

Thanks for saying that, I had listened to the song before but never got that far in. It's very nice, indeed. The track is entitled "oldie", so I'm still not entirely sure if he's actually reunited with OF.

He's such a better rapper than the rest of them, I'm excited to hear a solo release with expensive production.

Goofle 03-17-2012 09:16 AM

That Earl verse was sweet. After listening to the rest of the song... no surprise that he is distancing himself from Odd Future.

Thom Yorke 03-17-2012 09:37 AM

Earl's Oldie lyrics if you want 'em:

Yeah, **** that
Look, the contrast is a pair of lips
Swallowin' syrup and settin' fires to sheriffs whip
****in' all american terrorist
Crushin' rapper larynx to feed 'em a ****in' carrot stick
And me? I just spent a year in Paris and
And I lost a little sanity to show you what hysterics is
Spit to the lips meet the bottom of a barrel
So that sterile piss flow remind these niggas where embarrassed is
Narrow, tight line, might impair him
Since I made it back to Fahrenheit, grimey get dinero type
Pharoah ****in' pillow tear wearin' pack of parasite
Threw his own loofa off the roof after paradise
Ladidadi back in here to **** the party up
Raiding fridges, tipping over vases with a tommy gun
Never dollars, pop would make it rain hockey pucks
60 day chips from ****in' awesome anonymous
Call him bloated 'til he show them that the flow deluxe
Off the wall loafers, four loko, and a cobra clutch
Vocals bold and rough, evoke a ho' to pose his drum
Let me hit him, hit it with a stick until the ho was numb
Culprit of the potent punch
Scolding hot as dunking scrotum in a Folgers cup - or Nevada
Driving drunk inside a stolen truck
****ting like his colon bust
Belly full of chicken and a fifth of old petroleum
Supernova, I'm rollin' over the novices
I'm roamin' through the forest and spittin' cold as the porridge is
Stay gold 'til the case closed and the story end
Post mortem porkin' this rap **** and record it
To escort it to the morgue again
Lord of lips, bored of this
Forklift the tippy top, best under 40 list
Stormin' the gate, who's sure in the base, scorching ladies
Fortunately these mother****ers soarin', torso and face
Get at me with savages, have a pack of Apache
Indian pack of niggas who don't give a **** if we nasty as flatulence
As a matter of fact, your swagger is tacky so see me you can't
Like crunchy black cats in a taxi
Back like lateral passing
With that mother****ing gladiator manner of rapping
As an addict I let percocets and xannies relax me
Fall back if your paddies is Maxi
Please

FaSho 03-20-2012 06:09 PM

Oldie is the best thing any of them have ever done. Tape as a whole is about 7/10

Surell 03-20-2012 07:35 PM

need want. it r free?

supermarlin 03-21-2012 04:05 AM

I don't know why people say Earl's distancing himself from OF. Taken a look at his twitter page ever? Almost always interacting with OF members.

Surell 03-21-2012 02:35 PM

True, he may just be looking for a twist to keep his name more relevant. But i wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to make his own name away from the group, he has the hype, the talent, and apparently the smarts.

DoctorSoft 03-21-2012 03:46 PM

If anyone has the download link, that would be mega rad. My friend showed me Oldie, and I thought it was damn good.

Charlemagne 03-21-2012 05:40 PM

I found it somewhere, one second.

[Album Leak] Odd Future – The OF Tape Vol. 2 : Atrilli
That one should work.

I agree, with everyone, Oldie is by far the best they have ever done, the tape is pretty good too, not as good as Radical, but still good. (Though the last track really bolsters it)

I'm once again going to sound like a sheep and say Earl's verse was the best in Oldie...but it really was. Although Tyler's last verse was definitely second best.

DoctorSoft 03-23-2012 09:19 PM

I dig this new tape, especially P and Oldie.

Thom Yorke 03-24-2012 10:44 AM

I honestly didn't like this much at all, outside of a couple of tracks. Oldie is great and songs like Rella, Forest Green and Hcad were ok, but the rest pretty much did nothing for me. I think a main reason is because I've just grown really tired of Hodgy.

Thom Yorke 03-25-2012 01:30 PM

Question: is this the worst, most ridiculous mash-up you've heard?

minivan11 03-25-2012 04:09 PM

How eminem has been sued so many times yet OF hasnt is beyond me

Goofle 03-25-2012 05:56 PM

I think it's because Odd Future are the least offensive Hip Hop group of all time.

I've gotten really tired of him and tyler, actually. Tyler sounds worse than he used to, and i really wish he'd start doing drugs or something because i'm sick of hearing him rap about capri-suns and snicker bars.

I thought domo genesis was surprisingly good on this tape though

(rapping starts at 1:05)
and yeah that mashup was atrocious yikes

Sparky 03-27-2012 12:34 AM

You can watch the first ep of "loiter squad" here

Eh. It's not quite shocking enough, maybe it will have some better skits later. I kinda liked the armless dentist one

jayshreddz 03-28-2012 02:13 PM

lol. what is this? these guys are the the worst rapers i ever heard. never even heard of this band before.

This x 100.

I have never heard of this 'band' either but I am sure based on my ignorance that they aren't just bad but are the worst of all time.

No doubt. Jay is like a fine wine aging gracefully. He turned me around on punk, now its time for Rapers.

Judging an artist right away after not even hearing them out? Seriously? Dude, come on. If you're going to come into a thread and just diss the artist, what is the point of even coming into the thread in the first place. If you are actually interested in the artist, or if you want to be interested, than you should give them a listen and try to form an opinion off of what you've heard, instead of judging them based on an already formed opinion about the genre as a whole.

I'm not a huge fan of rap either, but this isn't all that bad.

Phantom Limb 03-29-2012 01:36 PM

jayshreddz= greatest troll to ever grace MB

I mean that as a compliment btw.

Surell 03-29-2012 06:22 PM

I'm completely bewildered by his presence, in a _ way.

grassman02 03-30-2012 08:35 PM

Please tell me i read the "Good ear for beats" part wrong.

Goofle 04-11-2012 09:31 AM

This makes me wince.

Thom Yorke 04-11-2012 10:33 AM

Screw this predatory journalism. Odd Future is so the future of rock and roll.

anticipation 04-19-2012 12:49 PM

"Mess around with me, I'm gon scratch yo cat, ungh."

 i love hodgy.

Sir Loin Steak 04-22-2012 04:26 AM

Gutted how they dropped out of the Leeds festival last year! Fair doos, they're making an appearance this year but they're on the main stage as opposed to being in the NME tent. Being in the tent with everybody bopping would've been tight but on the main, it'll be a lot less intimate.

Surell 04-26-2012 07:26 PM

Am I late in noticing that Odd Toddlers by Tyler sampled One Beer by MF DOOM?

I didn't get Hodgy Beats's Untitled Mixtape when it came out a couple months back, skipped my mind. Is it worth getting?
