Haunt me Haunt Me, Do it Again by Tim Hecker - essential
Ravedeath, 1972 by Tim Hecker - his latest release, AMAZING
Substrata by Biosphere - arctic ambient music, epic
Rifts by Oneohtrix Point Never - really drony and his use of synthesizers amazes me
From Here We Go Sublime by The Field - amazing minimal piece
Pop by Gas
The Last Resort by Trentemoller
Anything by Loscil

The regular, 29-minute version absolutely kills. The other two tracks on the album are good and all, but this is what really gets me going.

I have to say when it comes to ambient I always come back to Eno. Discreet Music, Apollo, Ambient 4. Not really ambient but he also contributed to my favourite Bowie album Low.

I will have to listen to the songs posted in this thread as I have always wanted to expand my ambient horizons.

Nice. Boards of Canada have been on the fringes of my wish list for a while but keep getting bumped. Will have to look more closely at their stuff.
