the fact is at the moment republicans are the majority of the house and senate and so people (myself included) can hold the misfortune of certain cases against republicans. which is not to say democrats would be any better or would've handled the situation any better, but the fact is people now know republicans can't handle these sorts of situations.

well, the dems will get voted in tomorrow and we will see how they fare. then people will realize that rep's werent as bad as everyone thought.

I doubt it. it's pretty hard for peopel not to remember bush.
