Anyone else know about this site? Basically, you found your own nation, decide issues to govern it, join factions, etc. You can govern your country as a dictatorship, a democracy, a corporate oligarchy, or whatever. I used the site a while back, but I've joined again, and it seems to have advanced quite a bit. The different factions you can join seem to have become quite sophisticated and well thought out. It's a pretty sweet way to waste time on the internet.

We can actually use a "Factbook" to create a national history that describes your nation's history, culture, politics, etc. It's pretty wizard. Here is my preliminary entry for my country, The Federation of The Luxurious Beard of Odin.

The Federation of The Luxurious Beard of Odin is a quasi-confederacy of previously independent tribes, now unified by our shared Germanic cultural and ethnic heritage. The decadent liberalism of the West infected our lands, threatening to erode the pride and purity of our proud peoples, but through a long and arduous struggle, we have cast aside our oppressors, both foreign and domestic.

We are unified under an overarching council of equals, drawn from each of the constituent states, but we have not abolished them. We honor our differences, as we venerate our shared heritage. In time, however, these poisonous elements will be purged by the righteousness of our fervor.

For the flame of the Teutonic spirit can never be truly extinguished. Our blood is aflame with the spirit of our ancestors and gods. The warriors of old possess us with their unrivaled strength, and a new era of glory is upon us through the teachings of National Socialism.

We hope to face the coming battles against the enemies of the German people with fellow nations dedicated to our cause and the spirit of true Nationalism.

The cynical population of 5 million Grimfrostians are ruled with an iron fist by the socialist government, which grants its people the freedom to do whatever they like so long as it doesn't involve getting richer than anybody else or challenging the government.

The medium-sized, liberal government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 41.4%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The weak Grimfrostian economy, worth 138 billion Topazes a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, broadly diversified black market in Beef-Based Agriculture, Cheese Exports, Woodchip Exports, and Trout Farming. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 27,729 Topazes, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Grimfrost's national animal is the Basilisk, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.
