I don't know how you figure that out. The country that produced Captain Beefheart in the '60s, the Electric Eels in the '70s, Sonic Youth in the '80s, Truman's Water in the '90s and Times New Viking in the '00s is commercially minded?

If Times New Viking actually fits into that chronological progression I feel that I'm going to have to check them out.

Theyre absolutely incredible. There stuff is tuneful and melodic but the recording style is even more lo-fi and trashy than Confusion Is Next, very similar to the Electric Eels recordings. Check out their myspace.

I'm just listening to "We Got Rocket" and it is a really good song. I'll have to find out where I can get more.

... well yeah, but in the way its an integral part of soceity, id imagine America takes things much more seriousley. Of course Britain has the Chavs, we have mallgoths per say, but mallgoths are more inspired by what they see on the tv, not the area surronding them.
