Heh. I loved that movie when I was younger and was a big fan of the soundtrack too.

I don't get to go as often as I'd like, but it's always a joy when I do. They usually run a clearance special, buy 3 get 1 free and each disc is priced at $1.95 or $2.95. I don't like to download individual tracks and this is the only way I'm ever buying some of those albums!

I was listening to Ryan Adams on Pandora today and this group came up. Obviously you like the album, but is it something you'd recommend if I like Ryan Adams?

I also like Ryan Adams and I think both artists are quite comparable.

Astronautalis - This Is Our Science (2011)

New album from Minneapolis emcee who blends hip hop with indie rock, electro, and some blues. Imagine a younger version of Beck, but with more of a hip hop edge. I really liked his 2008 album Promegranate so I have high expectations for this one.

Uncle Acid And The Deadbeats - Blood Lust (2011)

So yeah... I grabbed this one off the name alone. From what I've heard it's a huge throwback to the old doom metal and psychedelic rock. Will this be an album that gets it right like last year's Opus Eponymous by Ghost, or will it just be a band trying to ride their coattails? Soon I will find out.

That's Carl McCoy from Fields Of The Nephilim Lemmy is also in the film as is the voice of Iggy Pop.

Director Richard Stanley photographed the sleeve for FOTN full debut Dawnrazor.
